It was the character Don Fanucci in The Godfather 2 who told young Vito Corleone played by Robert DeNiro that he wanted to be cut in on the action, just enough "to wet my beak."

There is a lesson here for Tim Cook of Apple.  Sitting on $206,000,000,000 in cash he has so far refused calls for a special dividend.
Apple shares were down a good piece on the heels of earnings which showed massive profits.

Shares of Las Vegas Sands (the Venetian, Palazzo, etc.), conversely, were up almost 2% in regular trading Wednesday, another almost 2% in after-hours, even after reporting a profit drop and a slowing of business in Macau.  Why? Maybe because of this sentence in news reports about the earnings:  Sales slumped to $2.86 billion, while it raised its quarterly dividend to 72 cents a share for 2016.
Maybe there is a lesson here for Mr. Cook.
