Now This Guy Is Trying To Panic You

So we're tuned to CNBC, again forgetting the mute button, and after a commercial Brian Sullivan comes on and asserts that any news from Russia affects our markets big-time.  Breathlessly, but not enough to interrupt the commercial, he breaks the "news" that President Obama has talked to the chief in Ukraine and told him that any incursion by Russia would be unacceptable.

Which means nothing.  Imagine if Roosevelt had told a joint Congress session on December 8, 1941 that the Pearl Harbor attack was "unacceptable."

But our review of this "bulletin" is that it fits the current mode of CNBC of trying to scare the you-know-what out of us.
