Despite the best efforts of the mass media to provoke panic, get people to sell their stocks, and head for the mountain tops, the markets did not sell down at the open today.  Much of the credit has to go to the three people in this photo who held a press conference at Bellevue Hospital last night (NYC health commission, Mayor, Governor of New York).  They spoke in coherent wordings, were clear about what was being done, and generally did not follow the usual media-grabbing motif of other officials who usually stand before a crowd of yes-people who think the best way to handle a crisis is to serve as a backdrop for television.  This was a perfect news conference.
