Pee Wee Herman,
Michael Vick and now
Consumer Reports Have Diminished Reputations
Pee Wee was arrested for a form of public lewdness; Michael Vick engaged in the dubious art of dog fighting. And now Consumer Reports has apparently abandoned its quest for the best buy by awarding a perfect rating of 100 to Tesla automobiles. CR ignores that the car is a $70,000-plus vehicle, after decades of telling us which soap lasted longer and which toilet paper roll had more sheets for the same money. CR seems to ignore the real purpose of a car, to get from point A to point B. And don't get us started on that zero-to-60 in three seconds hoopla. What will the rich Tesla owners do with all that time they pick up?
