YOGI BERRA said it: "Nobody Goes There Anymore. It's Too Crowded." A statement that could be appropriate when looking at stocks. This morning shares of Netflix will open down about 24% or so. Netflix a darling of many, especially those who like the service for themselves. Same goes for other popular stocks, the ones constantly talked about on CNBmute. You know the ones: the $75,000 car that can go 200 miles before needing a charge; the camera you mount on your head while surfboarding or climbing a mountain; the machine that makes soda in the home; the company selling books and everything else but doesn't care about profits. The list goes on and on but it always becomes clear: profits or more important than popularity. |
