Not a Shake Shack burger. |
Last week shares of Shake Shack hit 79. Looks like it will open below 60 today. The company proudly reported profits of about a million dollars last week. A company like Apple makes that much profit in the last few minutes.
But, more importantly we believe, Shack announced this morning that it was selling 4 million new shares at a price well below the closing price yesterday. So, no wonder, the existing shares are floating down to meet that level.
To us this is like someone with a $500k house being told by the real estate broker to price it at #450k. Easy sale for the broker, less money for the owner.
Shack just opened, off 6% from yesterday.
